Health Ministry Confirms 57th Bird Flu Fatality |
JAKARTA, November 28, 2006, Ministry of Health - The Health Ministry announced Tuesday that a 35-year-old woman, known only as ESR, a resident of Taman Adiyaksa, Tangerang, Banten Province, died of bird flu early Tuesday morning at the Sulianti Saroso Infectious Disease Hospital in Jakarta.
Her death is the 57th human fatality out of 74 confirmed human H5N1 cases in Indonesia.

| Two New Bird Flu Cases Confirmed |
Jakarta, November 13, 2006, Ministry of Health - Two new bird flu cases in Indonesia have been confirmed – ES (female, 35-years-old) from Tangerang, Banten and A (male, 2 years-6 months-old) from Karawang, West Java. Therefore, up to November 13, 2006 the positively confirmed bird flu cases have reached 74, with 56 of them dead.

| MOA Pledges Strong Commitment in the Fight Against Avian Influenza (Bird Flu) |
JAKARTA, November 7, 2006, Ministry of Agriculture- The Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) today announced a restructure of the Avian Influenza (AI) Campaign Management Unit (CMU) with stronger commitment and closer collaboration with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).
The announcement was made after the first meeting of the new CMU chaired by Agriculture Minister Anton Apriyantono.
