Five Year Old Becomes Latest Victim of Bird Flu
Jakarta, May 23 2007, Ministry of Health- A 5-year-old girl, identified only as SI,  died of bird flu on May 17 in Central Java Province . The report was confirmed by the Health Ministry's Research and Development Laboratory and Eijkman Laboratories in Jakarta .

Bird Flu Case Confirmed in North Sumatra
Jakarta, May 14 2007, Ministry of Health- A 26-year-old woman,identified as NS, has tested positive for the avian influenza virus.The confirmation is based on Real Time Polimerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) testing carried out by the Health Ministry's Health Research andDevelopment Laboratory and the Jakarta-based Eijkman Laboratory on May12. The case was a resident of Deli Serdang District, North Sumatra.

Indonesia And Singapore Launch Pilot Project To Clean Up Bird Flu From Tangerang
Jakarta, May 9 2007 - Coordinating Ministry of People’s Welfare Aburizal Bakrie and Singapore’s Minister for Health Khaw Boon Wan signed today a memorandum of understanding between the two governments to launch an integrated avian influenza control program in Tangerang municipality and district, Banten Province.

First Human case of Avian Influenza reported in Riau Province
Jakarta, May 7 2007, Ministry of Health- Another confirmed human case of avian influenza has been recorded in Indonesia, this time in Riau, making it the 11th Indonesian province to record a human case and this one was fatal.
