Indonesia has reported more bird flu confirmed cases on human this week. Three confirmed cases with 2 fatalities in 2 provinces. A case from West Sumatra and the two cases come from West Java Province and Jakarta Province. Test results from the Health Research and Development Center of the Ministry of Health and Eijkman Institute has confirmed that all these three recent cases are bird flu positive.

| Jakarta, March 1, 2008 - Ministry of Health - The doctor team in Persahabatan Hospital had successfully treated and cured Sn and her daughter, DN, from avian influenza (AI) infection. They were hospitalized for about one month. They were dischaged from the hospital on February 28, 2008 after the laboratory research showed negative H5N1 result for the last 3 days.
