 | |  Mojokerto, East Java, November 27, 2007 - KOMNAS FBPI - Indonesia's National Avian Influenza Committee (KOMNAS FBPI) and UNICEF launched a new nationwide campaign today at the Kebonagung Elementary School to raise awareness among children about the dangers of bird flu.
"Some 40% of all human victims of avian influenza are children. That's why it is so important that they learn how to protect themselves," said Bayu Krisnamurthi, KOMNAS FBPI Chief Executive.
"This bird flu virus will be with us for sometime so we must integrate life saving bird flu information in schools to ensure that the next generation knows how to deal with this threat and future ones", he added.
